HISTORY
The Cultural Association UMBRIA TRAINING CENTER was founded in 1994 in Castel Ritaldi (Umbrien - Italy) to carry out exchange projects with other countries. The content of our work is to realize an exchange for young people in vocational trainings and projects for Permanent Professional Traing, in order to increase the chances of our participants on the labour market. We support the Region of Umbria and connect its culture and tradition with our work about cooperations with regional partners.
The Association is working successfully on regional, national and european level and gives young people not just the possibility to improve their vocational training and occupational situation but additional to develope their personal and linguistic skills, experiences and culture.

OBJECTIVES
The aim of the UTC is to foster innovation, development and change in the people and in the organisation through the promotion and implementation of studies, research, vocational training activities, cultural exchanges and social activities, integrated actions for local development, meetings and conferences, publishing. A motivated group of human resource managers, vocational training programme planners and managers, trainers enables to act scientifically and flexibly.

STRATEGY
The Umbria Training Center develops projects for companies, public bodies, schools and associations through custom made services thank to a team of national and international experts and consultants and to a network of national and international partner organisations.

The certification of the management system according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 for drawing-up, research,and management of training initiatives, vocational training, higher education for international integrated projects, guarantees the results’ quality and the efficiency and the effectiveness of the actions.

UTC has been carrying out training and vocational courses, exchange-projects and placements with foreign partners in many different sectors, both within the framework and outside the initiatives of the European Union (such as: LEONARDO DA VINCI, ADAPT, SOCRATES, EQUAL, INTERREG, DAPHNE, ESF, ART.6 ESF). It is working with young people in the field of professional training, trainers and people in continuing education (for both employees and job seekers).
UTC collaborates with public bodies, SMEs and local partners, pursuing the following aims:
- Fostering the local sustainable development;
- Promoting the European mobility in the professional training system;
- Facilitating access of young people to the labour market.
- Improving the ICT facilities and FAD teaching systems;
Moreover, UTC carries out projects aimed at fostering access to the labour market through real and simulated experience, e.g. marketing plans and feasibility studies, communication courses (NLP) and games that stimulate creativity.

UTC will take part in the following project activities, such as:
- development of curricula of economic animators in the rural/local development,
- testing the curriculum for the animators of regional development,
- consultancy, advice and participation in the quality system development,
- analysis of the labour market, development of mobility programmes for trainers, learners and employees,
- transfer of innovations
- leading several teaching ESF projects
- participating in many projects management, monitoring and evaluating, dissemination activities, networking development, ICT development.
- participating in several projects concerning the tourism of all sectors.

SECTORS and SERVICES
The Umbria Training Center gained a lot of experience in planning, management and evaluating projects in the framework of EU Initiatives: Leonardo Da Vinci (exchanges, placements, pilot projects and language competencies), Socrates, Youth, Employment NOW, Adapt, Leader II, Equal, Agenda 21. With the support of the ESF, the UTC has carried out vocational training actions aimed to prevent the school abandonment, to upgrade the workers’ skills, to promote the e-learning, to foster the sustainable tourism development, to support the businesses’ setting up, to promote the innovation and competition in tourism businesses.
The Umbria Training Center is focused on tourism, hospitality industry, catering and gastronomy, rural tourism, local planning, rural development, biological agriculture.
